Musical comedy has had a surge of success over the past few years. So, it is little surprise to see that Die Roten Punkte's faux-German take on the ever so eccentric Jack and Meg White has packed out The Hi-Fi.

It's impossible to have a bad time at a Little Red gig. The band is effortlessly entertaining, the fans are cheery and energetic, and the tunes are infectiously fun.

The Waifs, for anyone who has not had the pleasure, are those friends of yours who are more than handy on the guitar, and when you invite them over for a barby, the night will always end with a few sing-a-longs.

It's quite entertaining to watch a sea of white guys (myself included) dancing enthusiastically to hip-hop – the stern faces, full-body lurches up and down, and awkward hand movements.
